Frequently Asked Questions

Discover everything you need to know about our boutique yachting adventures here.

Nautica Collective offers boutique group sailing experiences designed for modern travellers who want more from their time off. Think cultural deep dives, a crew of like-minded souls, local gems over tourist traps, and beautiful yachts that feel more boutique hotel than boat. We take care of every detail, so all you need to do is step aboard and soak it all in.

We're building a new category of travel: small-group, design-led sailing for people who value connection, culture, and comfort, with none of the stuffiness or cookie-cutter itineraries.

Our sails blend time on the water with unforgettable land-based moments, designed around how today's traveller actually wants to experience the world. And our community-first approach means the friendships you form will last long after the sails are down.

Expect travellers from all over the globe: solo adventurers, couples, small groups of friends, all seeking experiences that go deeper than the average holiday.

You won't be on a party boat, nor on an ultra-lux private charter. You'll be in that sweet spot in between: boutique travel on the water, with space for both connection and retreat.

Our trips are thoughtfully designed with flexibility in mind. We offer both 4-day sails (perfect for a quick reset) and 8-day adventures (for those wanting full immersion).

Not sure what fits best? Drop us a message and we'll help guide you based on your interests, time off, and how much sea air you're craving.

We're currently sailing across Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera, Greece, Italy, Croatia, the British Virgin Islands and Norway, with new destinations in development. Each itinerary is crafted around places with real soul: expect hidden coves, laid-back beach towns, and a few wow moments that don't feature in the guidebooks.

You'll sail between stunning anchorages, with time to wander local villages, enjoy on-land experiences we've planned for you, and savour regional food and culture. The best of both worlds.

We blend sailing with authentic local experiences, from long-table dinners at family-run restaurants to backstreet galleries, hidden swimming spots, and more.

There'll be plenty of opportunity to swim, paddleboard, hike and explore on land.

Premium catamarans, handpicked for their comfort, style and layout. Spacious cabins with en-suites, big decks for lounging, and plenty of spots to gather with your crew. Think of it as your boutique floating hotel, with ever-changing views.

Yes. All cabins on our yachts are en-suite with showers, so you'll have your own space and privacy.

Yes, there's internet on board, though connectivity can vary depending on where we're anchored. We have onboard Wi-Fi for staying in touch or checking essentials, but the connection won't be as fast as what you're used to on land. Think of it as a gentle nudge to unplug and be present.

Your private chef can cater to all dietary requirements. We'll be in touch 4 to 8 weeks before departure to collect all dietary preferences and requirements so we can plan the menu accordingly.

Whether you're vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or have specific allergies, just let us know and we'll make sure every meal works for you.

Swim, read, nap on deck, sip your drink as the sun sets. You'll have plenty of unhurried moments alongside the experiences we've planned.

All onboard meals are included and prepared by your private chef: all breakfasts, all lunches, and 4 dinners on our 8-day experiences or 2 dinners on our 4-day experiences, plus drinks including alcohol. Your skipper, host, fuel and mooring fees are covered too, along with a few surprise moments.

On other evenings, you'll have the opportunity to explore and dine at local restaurants on land. Those dinners aren't included in the price.

You'll just need to book your own flights and airport transfers, arrange personal travel insurance, and cover the cost of any on-land meals and drinks.

We offer flexible payment plans. Full details are shared when booking, and we're always here if you need to discuss options.

We ask that all deposits are non-refundable to secure your spot. If you need to cancel 90 days or more before your sail date, you'll receive a refund minus your deposit and any transaction fees. Cancellations made within 90 days of departure can't be refunded.

Any refunds will be sorted within 10 days of us receiving your cancellation request.

Just a heads up: if full payment isn't received by the due date, any amounts you've already paid will be forfeited.

We're committed to being transparent and fair, always. If you have any questions about your specific situation, just drop us a message.

Yes. If you want the whole yacht for a private group, whether that's a birthday, a celebration or just an elevated escape with friends, we'll put together a package built around what you want. Reach out using our contact form with your requirements and we'll come back to you with our recommended options.

100%. Many of our guests come solo and leave with new friends. We offer the option to book a private cabin for yourself.

We carefully craft each itinerary to offer a balance of 65% time on the water and 35% on land. This means plenty of sailing to soak in the serene beauty of the sea, paired with opportunities to explore local culture, cuisine, and hidden gems ashore. Your yacht becomes both your floating boutique hotel and your gateway to adventure.

Our inaugural routes explore some of the most beautiful and culturally rich destinations in the Mediterranean, including Mallorca and Greece. Each location is chosen for its stunning waters, vibrant local culture, and unique charm. Future routes will expand to even more breath-taking destinations—stay tuned!

Yes! Each trip offers a seamless blend of sea and land-based experiences, ensuring you get the best of both worlds. From exploring charming coastal towns and hidden coves to enjoying authentic local cuisine at handpicked venues, we’ll immerse you in the culture and flavours of each destination.

Our trips include a mix of activities to keep you moving, from swimming and snorkeling to on-land adventures like hiking and exploring charming villages. If you’re looking for a more structured workout, many of our destinations offer yoga, fitness classes, or even scenic jogging routes. Your skipper and host can help you tailor your activities to your energy level.

Ahead of your sail, we'll send you a travel guide with all you need to know: best flights, transfer tips, and nearby hotels if you want to stay a night before or after. And we're always here if you need a little extra advice.

Lightweight clothes, swimwear, a hat, sunscreen, soft-soled shoes for the yacht, and something nice for those sunset dinners. After booking, we'll send you a full packing guide to take out any guesswork.

We can recommend great spots to stay or explore before or after your trip if you fancy turning your sail into a longer adventure.

Most of our guests are in their thirties and forties, though we've had plenty either side of that. There's no upper age limit. What we're not is a party boat or a traditional luxury cruise, so if you're after style, connection and somewhere with real character, you'll be in good company whatever your age.

None at all. Our expert skippers and hosts are there to handle the yacht. You're here to enjoy the experience, whether that means diving in for paddleboard adventures, relaxing with a glass of rosé, or learning a few sailing basics along the way.

No. Our trips are accessible to most people with a reasonable level of fitness. There may be a bit of walking or climbing in and out of the tender at anchorages. If you have specific concerns, talk to us before booking.

Catamarans can present some challenges when it comes to accessibility. There are steps required to access most areas on board, including the bedrooms and communal spaces. When the boat is anchored rather than docked, guests are ferried to and from land using a tender, a small boat that may be tricky to board for those with mobility issues.

Because of these factors, we handle accessibility requests on a case-by-case basis to make sure we can accommodate your individual needs wherever possible. If you have any accessibility concerns or would like to talk through your specific needs, please do get in touch.

Catamarans are very stable compared to smaller boats. But if you're prone to motion sickness, we suggest bringing along wristbands or medication just in case.

We'll adjust the route to work around bad weather, and changes may be made to the itinerary at short notice if needed. Our experienced skippers monitor conditions constantly and will adapt the sailing plan accordingly.

The beauty of sailing is flexibility. If the weather shifts, we'll find equally stunning spots to explore while keeping everyone safe and the experience enjoyable.

Tipping is optional and always appreciated. If your skipper, chef and host make the trip, and they usually do, we recommend between £200 and £400 per guest, shared between the three of them. For whole-yacht bookings, a guide of 10 to 20% of the trip cost works well.

Cash in the local currency at the end of your trip is easiest. Hand it to your skipper and they'll split it with the crew.
